Sitting just above the West Highland Way, between Crianlarich and Tyndrum, Auchtertyre House is a warm family home which provides space, comfort and beautiful views. Six large bedrooms sleep twelve people very comfortably with seven bathrooms.
Guests have been coming to the house for over ten years and we have achieved 5* awards year after year. Auchtertyre House has recently undergone a significant extension and renovation project and we hope that you enjoy our home as much as we do. The 5* ratings have started again!
The local pub, post office and eateries are only a five minute drive away however when you are in the house you could be in the middle of nowhere. The sleeper train arrives from London into Crianlarich so that overnight you can leave the city and arrive minutes from your holiday home.
We have designed our home to be very comfortable for a single family, or for larger parties looking for a place to reunite and connect with the outstanding scenery. A large super king bedroom on the ground floor ensures friends and relatives who find stairs a bit tricky will be comfortable.

The open plan sitting room and dining room is an absolutely stunning feature of the house which allows everyone to be together without falling over each other. You will lose hours watching the weather and hills out of the window, the vista is ever-changing.
The Music room is a formal room, this is one of the original rooms in the house. The grand piano is tuned and waiting to be played or this is a lovely room to sit and read in.
The main staircase of the house is carpeted for safety. Although dogs are very welcome to come to Auchtertyre House, they are strictly not allowed upstairs.
The Snug, this is the perfect place for teenagers to escape and watch a movie, or perhaps as the sitting room for whoever is staying in the main bedroom. There is a private staircase leading from the kitchen area to this room and on into the main bedroom
The Porch, Hall and Downstairs Loo.
The generously sized porch and hall means that no-one needs to stand around in the rain waiting to go for a walk. Wellies and shoes are stored on the bespoke bench so that cold toes can enjoy the underfloor heating. Plenty of coat hanging and a great holding area for muddy dogs and children. A fire in the hall heralds a warm welcome for all.
The Utility Room and Downstairs Shower
Muddy or wet after a walk? The back door takes you straight into the utility room where you will find a large washing machine and dryer. A shower room means that you can warm up quickly and a tap on the outside wall means that muddy dogs can be cleaned before they come into the house.
