The Space

Overlooking Loch Earn and at the foot of Ben Vorlich, Ardveich is a Scottish estate house that carries an atmosphere of welcome, warmth and tradition. Situated in a very secluded spot with only the farm behind it, you are free to roam the surrounding countryside, so this is a walkers'/ and cyclists' paradise but also the perfect base for country sports enthusiasts as well as families/friends looking for a fabulous home from home.

Ardveich House hosts a spacious, bright, open planned and fully equipped kitchen. There is a large, welcoming, beautifully, designed lounge with wood burning stove (fire wood provided) perfect room for sitting back and relaxing after a day exploring Scotlands hidden gems. The stunning, atmospheric dining room is the ideal place to host those celebratory evening meals but for a more relaxed dining experience the kitchen boasts a large table with ample seating for up to 10 persons.Situated at the front of the house is a splendid games room which show cases a Football (fuseball) table, Playstation 4 with games and 2 controllers (bring more if you want) a gleaming 50 inch Smart TV with access to log into your NETFLIX acount along with more gaming delights! This room is ideal for children, teenagers and like minded adults who prefer to relax the modern day way.A delightful sun room is the perfect spot to sit and soak up those marvellous views.A downstairs WC and a utility room with washing machine, tumble drier and clothes pulley complete the ground floor.
Upstairs, there are four bright and spacious bedrooms (two doubles, two twin rooms) which are serviced by one modern, sizeable shower room and another compact family bathroom.

The enclosed, beautiful garden is the perfect spot to sit out and enjoy a BBQ whilst admiring the stunning scenery that surrounds Ardveich. It really is a sight to behold watching the sun set on Loch Earn. For the more wild campers there is a secluded spot on the grounds where you can roast your marshmallows on the camp fire whilst listening to long tales, hooting of owls and if your lucky enough rutting stags!
To the rear of the property is an open ended store/car port where you can park 2 vehicles under cover, 2 more clothes pulley's (great area for hanging those wet suits after a day on the Loch) The firewood and kindling are also in this area, please help yourself!

There is also a large lockable shed where you can keep, bikes, sporting equipment etc secure for the duration of your stay.

Ardveich is a truly magical house for a holiday or special occasion it offers real individuality with such stunning views. It is one of those places you might just fall a little bit in love with.

Guests are able to access the whole house and the grounds Ardveich is on.Behind the property is a working farm.Please close the main gate whenever entering/leaving the property (just in case the odd wandering sheep decides to come in and say hello)

We understand that after a long day walking, doing touristy things, golfing, cycling, fishing etc, the last thing you might want to do is cook or go out.So please let me know if you would like me to share our chef details.
Pets are most welcomed. Ardveich allows two well behaved pets to stay. There is an additional charge per pet . A stair gate is supplied and must be put in place to prevent pets from going upstairs. Pets are only allowed downstairs at Ardveich and must not be allowed on the soft furnishings.

A remodelled secure outbuilding provides a drying room with hanging clothes dryer and ample storage space for kayaks, bikes and fishing equipment. Its also the perfect place to prep your catch of the day in the sink provided. There's a chest freezer available for your convenience.Exclusive fishing rights ensure there is not far to go to cast your line. Permits can be ordered at time of booking and will be present when you arrive.

Dalveich Cottage is situated close to a section of the core path.The route between Comrie and Lochearnhead (when completed) is just under 20km. It is a section of the 3 Saints Way which is being developed by many organisations between Iona and St Andrews. It is aimed that the path will link with the National Cycle Network route 7 at Lochearnhead which heads north to Killin and south to Callander.
The cottage is perfectly placed to escape into the hills and for those Munro baggers out there you can venture onto the slopes of the 21 that are situated in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.For the keen water enthusiast there's many different water sports you can choose from on Loch Earn throughout the year.There are some of the finest inland golf courses in the world close by including the renowned Gleneagles.There are local near by golf courses as well all information is provided in the in house manual.

The Cottage is a hidden gem just on the outskirts of St Fillans. Completely secluded, surrounded by stunning scenery, blissfully peaceful and to add to all that relaxation your own beautiful flowing river.
The cottage looks out towards the Pictish hill fort of Dundurn, one of the most important hill forts in Scotland. Guests love the quirkiness of the property along with the originality that oozes out through the beautifully loved features! There is a stunning sunroom adjacent to the main lounge/dining area. Perfect place to relax and soak up the breath taking views soaked in Scottish history. (One thing to note is that the sunroom is like a conservatory and gets cold. At night, generally it should be shut off, and reheated if used during day).Dundurn Cottage boasts a fully modernised kitchen and bathroom apart from that the cottage is all about immersing in the beauty of a slower paced life. Roaring wood burning stove, plentiful board games and books for all generations, taking time to enjoy just sitting out enjoying the extensive grounds, watching red squirrels and a wide variety of bird life including eagles and Ospreys as they soar over Dundurn Hill. You also might be lucky enough to be mesmerised by deer grazing in the lower fields at dawn and dusk. All of this complimented by your own private river that flows through the land of Dundurn. Imagine casting a line here and catching your own dinner or for children just enjoying skimming stones whilst the hot chocolate is being made and the fire is being stoked, awaiting their return. There is also a private jetty that can be accessed for guests wishing to bring their own boat where they can indulge in the delights of Loch Earn’s water sports or salmon or trout fishing.
Guest access The cottage is easily accessed by the A85. The beauty of Dundurn Mill Cottage though is that it’s so well hidden from the main road you really feel you’ve entered a little bit of paradise! There’s a closed gate at the top of the track which remains shut at all times. Guests are required to open the gate and drive down the grassy track surrounded by trees until they reach a wooden foot bridge.
Guests can park up to 3 cars here and are then able to access the property via the foot bridge. There is a lockable key safe at the front door. Key code will be given at time of booking. Other things to note
Dundurn Mill Cottage is surrounded by outbuildings one being the original Mill. The first Mill was erected in 1497 and there has been a mill on the site since then. The mill wheels can be seen against the wall of the mill building as can the remains of the old water wheel in the mill lade and the old well.
• No access is allowed into the Mill, the property is locked and has been deemed as unsafe inside. •There is a well in the middle of the side garden this has also been padlocked.

Dundurn has a low, free flowing river that runs through the land. Parents are responsible for ensuring that young children are never left unattended. There are safety signs erected by the river to remind parents of the risk of water..The property is pet friendly but dogs must be supervised at all times when outside due to the garden not being fully enclosed. The property is surrounded by farm land with stock and deer from neighbouring estates.• Though the cottage does have WIFI (some say quicker than when staying in Edinburgh!) the weather & location will play a part in whether it’s great or not! Hence the abundance of board games and books!• A bag of complimentary logs is provided for your stay. Should you wish to buy more you will find them in the village shop in either St Fillans or Comrie.• The main stairs in the cottage leading to the first floor are wooden and open (please see photos) again parents are responsible for the safety of their children whilst ascending and descending the stairs. A stair gate is provided for upstairs. There is also a bedroom located on the ground floor which might be best suited for younger children.• Due to the age and build of the property there are areas that have lower head room ie: 2 twin bedrooms upstairs, stairwell and when entering from kitchen into lounge area. There have been mind your head signs put in place.• The outhouse has a BBQ, freezer, and extra drying space. This outhouse is lockable perfect for bikes or kayaks.•. There is no freezer inside the cottage only in the outhouse.

The setting, the spectacular vista & the wildlife is what will draw you in & make you never want to leave. Recently refurbished but still retaining its old cottage charm, with an original range in the spacious kitchen - sadly now not working. The new, completely refitted kitchen with solid oak worktops, composite sink offers ample storage space and is complimented by modern appliances (electric hob & oven in centre island unit, fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, filter coffee machine, food mixer and CD Radio with iPod dock). The large oak-topped dining table and benches ensure plenty of space for family meals The cosy "modern heritage" lounge is enhanced by the warm glow of an open fire - with plenty logs available. A new lcd TV has all the Freeview channels. A painted wood-panelled bathroom with over bath Mira shower is also on the ground floor. Converted from an old barn in 2008, this pretty cottage is double glazed and insulated to modern standards, which ensures it is warm and cosy in the winter whilst remaining cool in the warmer months. Inside, Barn Cottage is contemporary in style with oak flooring throughout. The main room in this cottage is a combined lounge/kitchen/diner with integrated ceramic hob, electric fan oven, washer-drier, dishwasher and larder fridge. An extending oak dining table, wall-mounted freeview TV and stylish grey sofas complete this comfortable living area
The pretty twin bedroom, which can also be made up as a double, looks out over a small woodland. The spacious bathroom has an over bath shower. At the end of the hall is a large double bedroom with a walk-in shower cubicle & super king-sized bed.

The Space
Ground Floor
Large and spacious with a modern, country-style kitchen, which has a dining table for 10, four-oven Aga, induction hob, built-in double electric oven, two dishwashers and a fridge freezer (additional fridge & freezer located in the pantry), with additional seating at the large centre island. A washing machine and tumble drier are located in the utility/loo off the dining room.
The new, larger dining room, off the kitchen now comfortably seats up to 24, if booking the main house and both cottages. The side hall off the dining room leads to a new combined utility & loo, which houses the washing machine and tumble drier, sink and cupboards. The vacuum cleaner, iron & ironing board and various cleaning materials are also kept in here.

Off the kitchen is a west-facing conservatory, which is a brilliant place to watch our red squirrel family on the nut feeders, and amazing sunsets over the distant hills
A twin or super king bedroom and a luxury bathroom with walk-in shower and free-standing bath are also on the ground floor
First Floor
A beautiful ironwork staircase leads up to the first floor landing to find one bedroom with super king-sized bed and wonderful westward views and a second, bright east-facing bedroom with king-sized bed. Another luxury bathroom with roll-top, freestanding bath and walk-in shower is also on this floor.
A short corridor and 3 steps lead up to the magnificent first floor drawing room. The large picture windows in this room, which face both east and westwards, afford stunning views/sunsets over the Sheriffmuir Battlefield towards the distant hills and sunrise over the gardens. There is a small stereo HIFi in here and the TV has a DVD player and SKY TV connection.
The master bedroom suite leads off the drawing room and consists of a sizeable bedroom with large picture windows to the east east west, a dressing room and a luxury en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower and roll-top bath. The super king-sized bed in this room can also be made up as a pair of singles if required.
Second Floor
The ironwork staircase continues up to the second floor, where you will find a single, turret bedroom, a twin bedroom and a double bedroom, all with amazing views over the gardens/orchard. A small, but perfectly formed bathroom, with an over bath hand wash spray tap, serves the rooms on this floor.
Within the 20-acres of grounds, are the turreted Georgian house, which sleeps thirteen, and two cottages that sleep four in each. Cots and/or highchairs are available upon request.
The gardens around the property support many species of birds (woodpeckers, buzzards, nuthatch, tree creeper etc.), mammals (red squirrels, roe deer etc.) and amphibians and include an orchard with gazebo, ancient trees, drifts of spring daffodils, amazing azeleas and rhododendrons (flowering in late spring) and many "natural" areas for the wildlife and humans to explore.Beyond the enclosed grounds and garden, there are walks along paths and through woodland up to a summerhouse overlooking two ponds. The property is ideal for larger groups wishing to be based with easy access to Stirling, the Trossachs, Edinburgh & Glasgow and many other places of interest, including Gleneagles and the Highlands of Scotland.Guest accessThere are a couple of rooms locked in the property these are for linen and sundries. The Space

Guests enter Dalchenna via the fully equipped utility room with separate washing machine and dryer. Also located here is the microwave and Nespresso coffee machine. We ask that guest don't wear outdoor shoes whilst inside the property. We provide complimentary slippers.

On the ground level there is a large, bright and again fully equipped kitchen with island and separate dining area with ample space for 8 guests.

The spacious ground floor hallway leads to a bunk bedroom suitable really for children but 2 smaller adults could also enjoy this space with the added addition of a PS4!

Next to this bedroom is a toilet area with hand basin. This saves anyone having to go upstairs should they need to pay a visit!

The warm and inviting lounge has many comfortable couches and arm chairs along with a wood burning stove, SMART TV and patio doors leading right out onto the decking and the amazing outdoors space!

The main door for Dalchenna only has 1 original big black key which stays in the door permanently we ask that guests do not remove this key and ideally if they can use the patio doors or utility room for access.

Downstairs we also have a large cupboard under the stairs which hosts the infamous Henry Hoover along with Vileda mop and clothes dryer.

Up the winding, enchanting stairwell you will be greeted halfway by seasonally changing, stunning views on the top landing you can take a moment to rest and enjoy this window display!

The Master dreamy bedroom boasts a King size bed, contemporary shower ensuite and adequate dressing room along the hall way is a perfect twin bedded room again with stunning garden and mountain views. Next door we have a delightful double bedroom with all the bedroom furniture you might need to make your stay extremely comfortable.

Also upstairs to finish it off a spacious, bright family bathroom with a scrumptious bath tub and large separate shower.

Now to outside which I believe is the space where family holidays are made, where special occasions will be spoken about for years to come!

Situated on the perfectly positioned patio is an 8 person HotSpring Hot tub imagine soaking away in this tub whilst looking at those views sharing moments with your loved ones and sipping on a cold beverage or two or dining alfresco with the outside firepit roaring and keeping either the midges away in Summer or the Scottish Autumn and Winter chill.

Scotland was voted as one of the best places in the world to see Autumn leaves and Dalchenna’s garden will not disappoint those looking for a riot of fabulous colours of red, orange, yellow, bronze and crimson.

We provide guests with a BBQ and 1 bag of complimentary coals.

For the kids or the big kids at heart we also have a large Connect 4 that everyone can enjoy.

The lockable outside garage where you can keep your bikes, kayaks, paddleboards etc... hosts a full sized table tennis for guest to play at anytime during their stay.

The garden does lead to a river which can be fast flowing after heavy rain. Its a wonderful spot to dip your toes into during the balmy Summer or if you fancy a cold water dip to start your day you will literally think you have your own private wee dipping haven!

Although the house is detached we are based in a residential area so quiet respectful parties are expected. Especially when using outside areas.

Please be respectful of neighbours outdoor quiet hours run from 10pm till 8am. That means no noise or music during these hours.

We provide guests with a complimentary bag of wood along with kindling and firelighters (this is only a welcome amount) Should guests wish to purchase more for their stay then please notify Elizabeth at time of booking and she will get this arranged.

There is a tree swing located in the garden should children or any guest wish to use this then you do so at your own risk.

No 7 Drummond Street was the first cottage built in Comrie back in 1786!

So if you fancy staying in an original piece of history that's over 200 years old then No 7 is the property for you. This wee cottage oozes so much charm you won't want to leave.

This beautiful cottage was completely refurbished in 2021 with the guest experience and comfort at the forefront. The property is the ideal base to explore the famous village of Comrie and the surrounding beautiful Strathearn.

The 2 bedroom cottage is kept cosy with modern electric heating and a super wood burning stove situated in the lounge.

Both bedrooms are upstairs one bedroom is a twin and the other a double, the bedrooms have all amenities required to make your stay a memorable one.

Downstairs is a large shower room and open plan lounge/kitchen/diner.

The 200 years old cottage is on the street front so you will hear some noise from the road. However during the night the village becomes a ghost town just in time for going to bed (apart from on Hogmanay when Comrie holds the famous Flambeaux)

The cottage has a modern fully equipped large kitchen with a dining table that adequately accommodates 6 persons in case you fancy having some friends round for dinner whilst staying. The garden isn't enclosed so if you have dogs or young children they will need to be supervised at all times.

The property is sectioned into 3 parts.

The sleeping quarters is made up of King beds, Twin beds or if you wish the single beds to be placed together then you can have a Super king bed.

But we do have a projector which you can connect your laptop too and watch Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. Nothing beats Movie night!

We also have amazing WIFI, 4G, board games, books and binoculus and some of the most stunning scenery looking out into the beautiful Strathearn and directly at Baird Monument.

Then the 3rd section is where in the Summer if you wish to dine alfresco you can all year round!

Maybe slightly chilly in Winter but then you can keep your jackets on and just embrace the fresh cold air!

Also this space would be perfect if you wish to bring your children's balance bikes, or keep your kayaks safe or if you fancy skipping or hops scotching. The possibilities are endless!
